the east end brief
this newsletter exists to help you notice what’s happening around louisville’s east end - early enough to actually plan around it.
no endless lists. no guessing.
just things you can put on your calendar or act on this weekend.
last chance: lights under louisville (jan 2-3)
the lights under louisville drive-through experience at the mega cavern wraps up saturday, january 3.
do this now:
if this has been on your list, book tickets tonight or tomorrow - weekend slots typically sell out.
why it matters:
this is the final weekend until next year.

comedy night option (jan 2-3)
rickey smiley is performing friday and saturday night at the louisville comedy club.
do this now:
grab tickets if you want an easy night-out plan that doesn’t require much coordination.
why it matters:
shows like this often sell through once the weekend starts.

family-friendly option (jan 2-4)
dinosaur adventure is running all weekend at the kentucky exposition center.
do this now:
pick a time slot and plan around it - weekends are busiest midday.
why it matters:
good option if you’re looking for something structured to do with kids.

reality check
⚠️ january weekends book faster than people expect.
between holiday leftovers, people being back in town, and limited seasonal events, plans tend to fill up earlier than a normal january weekend.
waiting until saturday afternoon usually means:
• sold-out tickets
• long waits
• defaulting to the same backup plan
that’s it for this week.
one small move makes weekends better:
pick one thing and lock it in early.
this newsletter is here to help you spot those options before everyone else does.
more soon.
